Funeral services for Jeanette "Net" Brown will be held at 1 p.m. today at Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church, 675 S. Lafayette Drive, Sumter, with Michael Miller, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Cain Cemetery.

Jeanette Holliday Brown, also known as "Net," was born on Oct. 1, 1946, to the late Charlie Sr. and Janie Winn Holliday.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Brown Jr.; son, Marcus Brown; grandson, Tamarcus Brown; and brothers, Robert Holliday and Charlie Holliday Jr.

Sister Brown fought a long and hard battle with cutaneous t-cell lymphoma but succumbed to the disease on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at her home, where she desired to be with her family.

Sister Brown leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Denise (Louise) Deschamps, Valerie Brown, Diana Brown and Pamela (Murray) Blanding; son, Kenyatte Brown Sr.; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eartha Hopkins and Shirley Warren; three sisters-in-law, Victoria Gallashaw, Virginia Kind and Martha Gregg; brother-in-law, Robert Brown; two special friends whom she cherished and loved, Annie McGainey and Cassie Willoughby; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 24 S. Walker Ave., Sumter.
