JEFFERY BOWMAN

BISHOPVILLE — Jeffery Bowman, 51, was born on Oct. 7, 1969, a son of Rosa Mae Bowman and the late Marion Slater.  He was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at his home.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Rosa Mae Bowman; his stepmother, Naomia Slater; five sisters, Sheila (Sherron) Jacobs of Sumter, Yolanda Bowman of Columbia, Teresa Hunter of Baltimore, Maryland, Gwendolyn Benjamin of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Felecia (Willie) McCray of Sumter; and a host of nieces and nephews along with aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Slater; great-grandmother, Rosa Bowman; and his brother, Malcolm Townsend.

Visitation will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. today at Square Deal Funeral Home, 106 McIntosh St., Bishopville.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Yancy Martin, pastor.
