JENNIFER DIANE MURPHY

Jennifer Diane Murphy, age 38, died on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House of Florence.

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of William Richard Murphy and Deadra Chen Murphy. Jennifer was such a sweet and loving girl with an infectious laugh. She loved music and dancing and was an avid Tai Chi enthusiast and enjoyed performing at the mall in her younger years. She loved her family very much, especially her nieces and nephew. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Danny Chen of Fort Meyers, Florida, and James Murphy and his wife, Beth, of Lake Worth, Florida; a sister, Susan Elmore and her husband, Wayne, of Sumter; an uncle, James Murphy of Geneva, New York; a nephew, Logan Murphy of Lake Worth; and three nieces, Lauren Elizabeth Elmore and Madison Elmore, both of Sumter, and Megan Murphy of Lake Worth.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frank and Louise Murphy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at Bullock Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister.
