JEREMY GARRETT
Jeremy Garrett, of Wedgefield, was born on Feb. 18, 1983, in Sumter, to Robert Louis and Naydean Garrett. He made his transition to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019.
Jeremy was educated in the public schools of Sumter. He was a member of Bethel Refuge COOLJC of Wedgefield. There was never a dull moment with Jeremy. He never met a stranger. If you were feeling down before, you would be laughing after coming in contact with him. Jeremy loved to dance and you couldn't tell him that he wasn't going to be on "America's Got Talent." Jeremy was loved by many. He had a giving heart and would share what he had, even if it wasn't a lot all the time. Jeremy was a father, son, brother, and the best uncle his nieces and nephews could have.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Robert and Naydean Garrett; a sister, Lahoma Garrett of Andrews; two brothers, Robert Louise Garrett Jr. and Troy Cornelius Garrett; two daughters, Arianna Naydean Garrett and Desiree Alana Garrett; his wife, Elizabeth Garrett; two special nieces, Whitney and Courtney; three special nephews, NyQwan and Jason Garrett, and Shyreek Heyward; and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom will treasure his memory and miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Garrett Jr.; and a daughter, Destiny Garrett.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Garrett will be placed in the church at noon on Thursday for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150 with District Elder Harold Young officiating and Bishop David A. Smith, eulogist. Interment will follow at Heaven's Gate Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 2140 Kelterr Circle, Wedgefield, SC 29168.
