JERRY JOHNSON

Funeral services for Jerry Johnson will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the chapel of Whites Mortuary LLC, 517 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Jerry was born on Oct. 15, 1951, in Sumter, to the late Paul Sr. and Mary E. Thompson Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marion E. Thompson and Paul Johnson Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Todd Davis Sr.

Jerry departed this life on Thursday, June 1, 2023, in Orangeburg.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Diane Pegram Johnson; two children, Ashley Johnson and Corey Johnson; sister-in-law, Shirley Abrams; four brothers-in-law, Dave Davis, Wendell Davis, Darrell Davis Sr. and Wilentz Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
