JIMMIE LINDSAY PENFIELD JR.
WEDGEFIELD - Jimmie Lindsay Penfield Jr., age 51, beloved husband of 24 years to Joann Drozd Penfield, died on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at his residence.
Born at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma, he was a son of Jimmie Lindsay Penfield Sr. and Betty Ruth Fralix Penfield. He was a welder at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant. Jimmie loved spending time on the water and riding motorcycles. He was adventurous and enjoyed taking on any new challenge. Some of his favorite hobbies included scuba diving in the Cooper River, boating and fishing. He attended Wedgefield Baptist Church. He was always willing to help others, and he will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are one daughter, Chanelle Neiswinter; one grandson, Sam Neiswinter; one sister, Annette Penfield; three nieces, Alicia Ridder, Lauren Myers and Mallory Hoover; and numerous family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the home.
