Jimmy "Buki" Wilson was born on Aug. 5, 1969, to Barbara Carolina and the late James Johnson Jr. He departed this earthly life on Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at Caroline Regency in Florence.

He graduated from Mayewood High School in 1987. Jimmy had a very strong work ethic, which he demonstrated at Palmetto Health Tuomey, K-Mart, VB Williams, Gold Kist and Mello Butter Cup.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving mother, Barbara Carolina; his wife, Theresa Wilson; three daughters, Whittney Wilson, Morgan Wilson and Keyoshia Wilson; five brothers, Rico Wilson, Lorenzo (Valerie) Wilson, Ranson (Satosha) Floyd, James D. Johnson and Jaylen Johnson; three sisters, Tiffany Jefferson, Theresa Johnson and Serena Brown; a special aunt, Queenie Hunter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Henry and Maydell McGee; a paternal grandmother, Lucille Johnson; an aunt, Rosa Clavon; an uncle, Marion Clavon; and a brother, Dennis Brown.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Wilson will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. on Sunday for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Church of Christ, 680 Sandy Grove Road, Lamar, SC 29069 with Minister Sylvester McCray, pastor and eulogist, and Elder Robert Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home, 14 Republic St., Mayesville, SC 29104.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
