JOHNNY LEE CANTY

MANNING - On Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, Johnny Lee Canty heard the Master's call at McLeod Health Clarendon.

Born on Monday, Aug. 4, 1947, in the Jordan community of Manning, he was a son of the late Robert "Bobcat" and Ruth Mack Cantey.

Graveside services celebrating his life will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Canty family plot located in the Society Hill AME Church Cemetery, 1030 Morello Road, Jordan community of Manning, where the Rev. Robyn Kendrick, assistant pastor of Society Hill AME Church, will preside. The Rev. Dr. Jonathan Mouzon, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Bloomville community of Manning, will bring words of comfort.

Public viewing will take place during the hours of 5 to 7 p.m. at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

In accordance with the requirements given by the CDC in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is not receiving relatives and friends at the residence.
