Joseph “Joey” Gardner Gore III, 63, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at the home of his mother.
Born June 27, 1961, in Charleston, he was the son of Ann Helms Gore and the late Joseph Gardner Gore Jr. He was a member of Mayesville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include one daughter, Laura Siefert (Zack); two grandsons, Hayden Siefert and Hampton Siefert; two sisters, Elizabeth Parkins (Gordon) and Barbara Segars (Charles); two nieces, Mary Elizabeth Parkins and Anna Louise Hentz (Jake); two nephews, Brad Parkins (Hillary) and Charles Segars III; and one grandniece, Hazel Parkins.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, in Sumter Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Brian C. Peake.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fowler, Brad Parkins, Chip Prince, Ronnie Robertson, Charles Segars III and Mike Stanislawczyk.
The family will greet friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Mrs. Bettie Tindal, Samantha Tindal, Geanie Schuman, Anne Dinkins and Mr. Roosevelt McDaniel for the exceptional care they provided.
