JULIA BENBOW WELLS
Julia Benbow Wells, widow of David Wells Sr., departed her earthly life on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at Sumter Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on July 12, 1922, in the Davis Station community of Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Sinkler and Martha Conyers Benbow and daughter-in-law of the late Wes and Sarah Cato Wells. Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.
Mrs. Wells will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Friday for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Unionville AME Church, 2036 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, SC 29104 with Pastor Alvin E. Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Unionville Church Cemetery.
The family will gather at the home of the late Annie R. Edwards, 7645 Loblolly Road, Lynchburg, at 10 a.m. on Friday prior to the processional to the church.
Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
