KAHLIA NEVAEH WOODS

Posted

On Nov. 25, 2003, the Lord blessed Tiffany Witherspoon and Gregory Woods with their firstborn, Kahlia Nevaeh Woods. Kahlia lost her precious life on Monday, June 21, 2021.

Kahlia graduated from Lakewood High School on June 3, 2021, as an early graduate of one year. Her plan was to become a registered nurse, but God had another plan in heaven. Kahlia loved her family and friends. She was loved by many near and from afar. She had a smile that would light up the room with her presence that would make you feel at peace. God saw a perfect flower blooming and chose to keep it for himself.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-great-grandparents, Shead Sweat Sr. and Mariah Murray; paternal grandfather, Earl Tisdale; and paternal great-great-grandparents, Naomi Woods, Bobby Woods, Susie Mae Witherspoon and Ronnie Witherspoon Sr.

Kahlia leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Tiffany (Shaun) Witherspoon; father, Gregory (Shekila) Woods; grandparents, Delthine Woods, Betty Sweat (Kenneth) Witherspoon, Linda Anderson (Reginald) Spann and Hazel (Dewitt) Clark; a sister, Shania Anderson; a brother, Shaun Jr.; seven uncles, Kenneth (Jatika) Witherspoon, Antwan Sweat, Darien (Alicia) Sweat, Earl (Shonda) Woods, Cedrick (Deidra) Woods, Frederick Woods and Tony Woods; two special cousins, Emanii Woods and Ja'Quane Woods; a very special best friend, Shontavia Washington; two loving and devoted godparents, Tamara Mack and Maurice Grant; a host of other relatives and a multitude of friends.

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 70 Mystic Court, Dalzell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Bethesda Baptist Church, 4745 U.S. 15 South, Sumter, with Pastor Ronnie Smiling Sr. officiating.
