Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity receives Reclamation Award

The Bishopville/Manning/Shaw AFB Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. will be honored with a Reclamation Award at the 84th Grand Chapter Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which is being held July 30-Aug. 4.

The chapter will receive the small chapter award for number of Brothers reclaimed into the Fraternity. The Reclamation Award of Kappa Alpha Psi is the Grand Chapter award available to alumni chapters that reclaim Brothers who are not in good standing.

The awards are based on the highest number or percentage reclaimed and the size of their membership.

The chapter also received two overall achievement awards for a small chapter at the Southeastern Province Council in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 4-7.

The chapter received a Reclamation Award for reclaiming 14 Brothers and a Retention Award for not losing any Brothers during the fiscal year. The entire membership of the chapter was instrumental and worked diligently for the chapter to receive these prestigious awards.
