Karel is a delightful 4- to 5-year-old girl weighing 52 pounds of pure sweetness. This well-mannered lady enjoys spending time with the volunteers and gets along beautifully with the other dogs at the shelter. She walks easily on a leash, has a calm, gentle nature, and would fit seamlessly into just about any home. Karel came into the shelter wearing a collar and leash - clearly, she was someone's companion. We were certain her family would come looking for her, but heartbreakingly, no one ever came in to claim her. Now Karel is hoping for a second chance - a new family to love and a place to call her forever home.
