Letter to the editor: Kennedy will listen, take action and work for you on council

Although I cannot vote for city council, as I live in the county, I encourage city folks to consider Lynn Kennedy as one of your candidates for council.

I met Lynn when I worked for county and she for the city. Lynn is a true go-getter. She used to be event coordinator for the city and was visible at every event. She is familiar with how government works and understands small business because she owns one. Lynn has an extensive network in this town, exhibits great character and true leadership qualities. She has a strong work ethic, stays engaged and is truly interested in the Sumter community. She is someone who listens and takes action. If you are looking for a candidate that will work for you, I highly recommend that you vote for Lynn. I wish she were running for president.
