Know Your Sumter: Hodge Systems and Consulting Services provides local technology services from new home downtown

After 19 years of serving the needs of businesses in about 20 counties, Hodge Systems and Consulting Services moved to downtown Sumter in November 2019 to get its name in Sumter's booming business district.

"We were located in an industrial park previously, and we wanted to be a little more visible," said owner Erick Hodge. "Downtown was the new Sumter business district, and that's where we wanted to be."

Located at 115 S. Main St., Hodge Systems and Consulting has served businesses and institutions throughout Sumter County, including health care, schools, property management, manufacturing and human services agencies.

"We're a business-to-business company," Hodge said. "We provide comprehensive commercial technology services. We specifically market to commercial and institutional clients."

Providing services like network design and administration, networking, digital security, physical security, business strategy and consulting, premise wiring and planning and more, Hodge said his team is here to meet the needs of businesses in the community.

"We contribute to the critical mass of the Sumter business community," Hodge said. "We've got about over 120 years of (combined) experience with commercial technology solutions. We've maintained certifications for our people. All of our system engineers and our technicians, they're a very talented group."
