UPDATE: Boil Water Notice for Clarendon communities has been repealed

CLARENDON COUNTY – Residents of the Eagle Pointe and Wyboo Pointe subdivisions and adjacent areas who have been under a Boil Water Notice can begin using their tap water effective immediately.The Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department said that the results of bacteriological samples that were collected and analyzed by Water Systems Inc. have indicated that the system’s water is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.

CLARENDON COUNTY – The residents of the Eagle Pointe and Wyboo Pointe subdivisions and adjacent areas that are served by these water systems are under a Boil Water Advisory.
The Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents that are served by these systems to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
The advisory has been issued due to low, or loss of pressure due to a main water break.
Residents should continue to vigorously boil their water for at least one  full minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by the Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department.
Any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
The Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department is currently working to correct the problem.
