LARRY BENJAMIN

Funeral services for Larry Benjamin will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 14 Brand St., Sumter, with the Rev. Larry W. Barnes, pastor, officiating. The final resting place will be at Bradford Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. today.

Larry Benjamin was born on June 26, 1954, to the late Manuel Sr. and Annie Horton Benjamin.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, James W. Hampton, Manuel (the late Ingeborg) Benjamin Jr. and Frank Benjamin; and his sister, Pamela J. Benjamin.

Larry departed this earthly life to gain his earthly wings on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Sumter Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Larry's memory will be forever cherished by his sisters, Patricia A. Gordon, Matthette (Joe) Gregg Jr. and Evangelist Tryfenia (Crystal) Moses; an aunt, Mary Ragins; godsons, Jermaine M. Benjamin and Brandon Nelson; godsister, Searline Reese; dedicated friends, Ashleigh Brown, Mack Daniels and Willie Vaughn; 18 nieces and nephews; 38 great-nieces and great-nephews; four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 211 Brand St., Sumter.
