Funeral services for Bishop Larry Carter will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Whites Mortuary Chapel, 517 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter, with the Rev. Clinton Caesar officiating.
A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Bishop Larry Carter was born on Aug. 9, 1958, in Sumter, a son of the late Gladys Carter.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Carter; and grandparents, Rueben and Maggie Carter.
He departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, in Sumter.
Larry is survived by a sister, Shirley (Woody) Lipinski, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services are entrusted to Whites Mortuary LLC.
