Larry Thomas Watson, 70, husband of Lydia Betito Watson, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lowland, N.C., he was a son of the late Plum Nicholas and Lillie Ireland Watson.

Mr. Watson was a retired U.S. Air Force sergeant and Vietnam veteran. He also retired from Santee Print Works.

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; three sons, Bobby Watson, Doug Watson and Jeff Watson; two daughters, Joann Watson Branham (Harvey) of Manning and Barbara Watson Vise (Johnny) of Sumter; two brothers, Nicholas Watson and Danny Watson; six grandchildren, Jennifer Watson, Jonathan Vise, Rachel Vise, Christine Watson, Harvey "Junior" Branham and Brandon Branham; one nephew, Gary; and three nieces, Mable, Crystal, and Polly.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at 290 Trailwood Drive.
