Lee County School District moves to online learning Thursday, Friday amid winter storm threat, COVID-19

Lee County School District designated Jan. 20-21 as e-learning days for students and teachers due to the threat of severe weather, Superintendent Bernard McDaniel said Wednesday.
The move to e-learning was also due to "staff shortages as a result of the recent spike in COVID-19 positivity rate in our schools."
The district will continue to monitor the national weather service and local news for weather progression. McDaniel asked the community to refer to the district’s website and Facebook page for updates.
Clarendon County schools, both in Clarendon School District 2 and 4, will hold class remotely on Friday due to the weather forecast.
