FROM STAFF REPORTS

BISHOPVILLE - Lee County School District's Title I Parent Advisory Council will host its Harvest Festival on Oct. 30 at the LCSD Main Office, 310 Roland St. The meeting will convene at 5:30 p.m., and the entire community is invited. This is the group's monthly meeting where parents and community members discuss their shared responsibility for raising the next generation.

Attendees are asked to wear the costume of their choice, preferably those which depict future or current career choices. Food will be provided as well as fellowship and fun.

"We host events like this to bring the community together but also to create a safe network for parents to share their concerns and needs," Angela Crosland, Title I Parent Liaison/Public Relations for LCSD, said in a news release. "We had a few parents to express a desire to have a safe place to bring their children for this season of harvest. Since we have some churches in the community actively engaged, we decided to partner with them to bring together students, parents, congregants and other stakeholders."

For additional information about the event or to partner with the PAC in hosting this event, contact LCSD Office at (843) 409-9590.
