LEN MCLEOD

Len McLeod, 80, widower of Ida Atkinson McLeod, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Dewey and Ida Atkinson McLeod. Mr. McLeod was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired construction worker.

Surviving are three stepsons, Eddie Connor and Jamie Connor, both of Sumter, and Calvin Connor of Texas; two stepdaughters, Sharon Berry of Sumter and Lori Johnson of Wisconsin; three brothers, Bill McLeod, Woodrow McLeod and Edward McLeod, all of Sumter; a sister, Shirley Jackson of Sumter; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sumter Cemetery with Pastor Brian Magaw officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
