LEOLA FORD SUMPTER

Leola Ford Sumpter, 78, was born on Oct. 12, 1941, in Sumter, a daughter of the late Leo and Martha James Ford. She departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Ms. Sumpter will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 184 Lake Ashwood Road, Sumter, SC 29153. Interment will follow at St. Paul AME Church Cemetery (Plowden Mill).

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
