LESTER ANTONIO REED

Graveside services for Lester Antonio Reed will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Whack Cemetery, Whack Cemetery Road off of S.C. 261, Manning, SC 29102.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

He was born on Nov. 12, 1979, in Kingstree, to Andrew M. Reed and the late Elsie M. Pendergrass-Reed.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Perry, Angela and Letina; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack and Annie Reed; maternal grandparents, Deacon James (Ruth Dingle Pendergrass) and Mildred Pendergrass Sr.; three aunts, Mamie L. Carraway, Ida L. Burgess and Rosa L. Goodwin; and one uncle, James Pendergrass Jr.

He departed this life on Monday, April 5, 2021 in Sumter.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four daughters, Malaysha Cowell, Brianna Montalbano, Kinzy and Kaidyn Reed; two sons, Carmeron Reddick and Jayden Reed; his father, Andrew Reed; three brothers, Timothy Reed Sr., Anthony (Samantha) Reed and Curtis Reed; two sisters, Carolyn Reed-Bradley and Latasha (Jessie) Calvin; three uncles; five aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1849 Roache Road, Sumter. Please use COVID-19 protocols and wear a mask.
