Letter: America isn't a Third World country

As an American citizen, I am appalled at what the Democrat governors and mayors are putting up with regarding the destroying of statues and monuments. Before George Floyd was killed, none of this was an issue. Changing names on football teams and names of food labels is ridiculous.
America is a country with peaceful laws and not violence. We do not live in a Third World country.
Violence and killings cannot go on in this country. Just because someone does not like what the government does or does not do, doesn't make them take violence in their own hands.
Black lives matter as well as all lives.
