Letter: Daffodil Arts and Craft show must be canceled

The past few weeks have been very hard pressed with so many emotions. As it has been brought to everyone's attention, we want what is best for our participants as well as the public. The Centers for Disease Control issued a directive for any public gatherings and events of over 10 individuals or more that would be held within the next eight weeks. The Daffodil Arts and Craft Show is just three weeks away. With sadness in our hearts, we want what is best for all.

With that being said, we are following protocol and canceling the 10th-Annual Daffodil Arts and Craft Show. Know that this hurts our hearts, as well as our participants. We appreciate all of those that help us have such a great event here for Sumter County and surrounding areas.

We will be back Nov. 21 and 22 for the 10th-Annual Silver Bells Arts and Craft Show. Looking forward to seeing you all then.
