Letter to the editor: 'Cash cow' of Sumter penny tax is dead

Thanks to all the folks that voted to end the "Penny for Progress" tax. Apparently you folks were seeing more "glitz and glitter" than progress.
You also accomplished something that should have happened long ago. You have made the politicians step on their bottom lip because the "cash cow" is dead. Goodbye "Bossy," you won't be missed.
I suspect that we will be amazed with the next trick the "Czars of Squander" dream up. Strange things happen when outsiders take over!
