Liberty STEAM Charter School's Board of Directors will meet next on Monday evening, Oct. 28, and the school's Executive Director Trevor Ivey shared the board's agenda with The Sumter Item on Friday.
According to the agenda, the monthly meeting will include board recognition of staff, including October's lead teacher of the month, teaching fellow of the month and staff support member of the month. There will also be a Scholar Showcase by performance arts classes.
An executive director's report will include organizational goals and a report on progress made toward those goals from August on college and career readiness, operational excellence, mission alignment, culture of excellence and financial strength. There will also be division presentations to include campus leader highlights, Hopes and Dreams Listening Tour, the 2nd-Annual STEAM Workforce Development Day and Saturday School updates.
Board committee updates will include facilities expansion, a Leadership Development Program update and first reading of the revised scholar enrollment policy, audit findings from Fiscal Year 2024 and updated grant opportunities, among other committee topics.
An executive session will be held to discuss personnel matters, and public comment will also be held for those wishing to speak.
The meeting will be held Oct. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at Liberty STEAM Charter School Elementary Academy, 1057 Broad St.
