Lisa Ann “Mimi” Skinner, 64, died Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Sumter.
Born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of Ann Lee Shearer Thomas and the late Floyd Elgin Thomas.
Mrs. Skinner spent a number of years in Kenai, Alaska, and Cheyenne, Wyoming, before moving to Sumter where she became an active member of the Sumter Senior Services Center and served as organizer of many social events including bingo and teaching crochet classes at both the center and her residence, Sumter Place.
Mimi is survived by her mom of Kenai, Alaska; a son, Ryan Skinner (Cassandra) of Raymond, New Hampshire; a daughter, Sarah McDonough (Aaron) of Sumter; four grandchildren, Kalynn, Johnathan, Weston and Carson; a sister, Abbie Madrid (James) of Kenai, Alaska; two nephews, Jacob Madrid (Branda) and Vincent Madrid; two great-nieces, Olive and Harper; and a great-nephew, Fowler.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Lusk, Wyoming.
