LOUISE GOINES WILSON

Louise Goines Wilson was born on Feb. 13, 1950, in Clarendon County, a daughter of the late Deacon Blanding and Loree Smiling Goines. She was the 11th of 11 children.

Louise departed this life on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey, after an extended illness.

She received her formal education in the public schools of Clarendon and Sumter counties. She was employed with Georgia Pacific in Sumter and Manning Manufacture Sewing Plant in Manning. During her youth, she joined Bethesda Baptist Church in Sumter. Louise was united in holy matrimony to Robert L. Wilson Sr. on Jan. 9, 1979. She then became a homemaker. She loved her family and was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing basketball and softball.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her husband of 39 years, Robert L. Wilson Sr. of the home; four children, Robert "Bobby" Wilson Jr. of the home, and Catherine Stukes, Charles Stukes and Ashley (Ricarldo) Johnson, all of Sumter; a sister, Natherine Riley of Sumter; sisters-in-law, Jessie Mae Goines, Knenite Goines and Ulease Goines, all of Sumter, and Lizzie Ann Preston of Manning; three brothers-in-law, Lee Earnest Wilson of Sumter, Leroy (Jackie) Wilson and Henry Wilson of Manning; a grandchild who was reared in the home, Nyasia Wilson; seven grandchildren, Joshua Stukes, Tyreek Johnson, Jordan Stukes, Ricarldo Johnson, Anyia Johnson, Ashton Johnson and Kennedi Johnson; a special niece who was like a daughter to her, Cindy Goines; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Louise was preceded in death by four sisters, Lavica Mack, Hilda Wells, Ruby Conyers and Ardell Similing; five brothers, Barney, Roland, Doris, Clairmont and Jack Goines; and a granddaughter, Jamiyah Leaneau.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Wilson will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Thursday for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, with Pastor Ronnie Smiling officiating and the Rev. Albertis Smiling, eulogist. Interment will follow at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 330 Dusty Circle, Sumter, SC 29150.
