Louise Poston McClam, age 94, wife of the late Pearlie W. McClam for 57 years, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2020.

Born in Florence County on Oct. 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walker and Lessie Poston. Ms. McClam was a Christian for more than 75 years. She attended Pocalla Holiness Church. She thought the world of her church family and dearly loved her pastor, the Rev. Robbie Hardin. She enjoyed working in the yard and flowers and working with crafts.

She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Diane Coker and her husband, Sammy, and Gail Hardin and her husband, Bob, all of Sumter; six grandchildren, Tammy McLeod, Sam Coker, Robbie Hardin, Racheal Dykes, Michelle and Neecie McClam; 11 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, William "Billy" McClam; one granddaughter, Cassie McClam; two brothers, Laverne and Eugene Poston; and four sisters, Mary Lee Poston, Eule Lee Hasty, Leslie Lee Hill and Irene Wilkes.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Pocalla Holiness Church with the Rev. Robbie Hardin officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Craig McLeod and grandsons, Grantley and Kade Hardin, Sam Coker and Will Coker and Billy O'Brien.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home and other times at the home of Bob and Gail Hardin.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Mrs. McClam's caregiver, Sandy Watson. We could not have gotten a better or more caring and loving person, and would also like to thank Hospice of S.C.
