Louise Tisdale Gleaton, age 89, beloved wife of the late Lever Randolph Gleaton, died on Friday, July 10, 2020, at Covenant Place.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late George Hartley Tisdale and Annie Jones Tisdale. Louise was a devoted member of Alice Drive Baptist Church. She and her husband were the owners/operators of Gleaton Floor Covering for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts and was a member of the local crafting club. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by a son, William Gleaton and his wife, Becky, of Land-O-Lakes, Florida; five grandchildren, Jason Gleaton, Katie St. Clair, Jessica Smith, Rebecca Conner and Rachel Gleaton; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Lever Randolph Gleaton Jr.; three brothers; and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.
Due to COVID-19, the family will have a Celebration of Life that will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105-2479 or a charity of one’s choice.
