LUCCILLE HARVIN GRINNELL

Luccille Harvin Grinnell, widow of John Grinnell, was born on Oct. 19, 1956, a daughter of the late Henry and Victoria Huggins Harvin and stepdaughter of the late Emma Harvin. On Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, an angel was sent to close her eyes and grant her peace eternally.

Loving memories will be cherished by her loving and devoted daughter, Tonya (Maymon) Harvin-Pack of Columbia; five brothers, Jacob Harvin, Tyrone (Paula) Harvin and Floyd Harvin, all of Sumter, Stanley (Alicia) Harvin and Roosevelt (Ruby) Harvin of Asheville, North Carolina; four sisters, Rachel Harvin, Jocarol (Robert) Jamison of Sumter, Mary (Troy) Harvin and Jacquelyn Harvin of Asheville; two grandchildren, Xavier Johnson of the home and Winter Seymore; a special niece, Kyeisha Harvin; a special goddaughter, Ashley Hester; a lifelong friend, Dewey Ballard; five brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Luccille was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Betty Sinkler and Rebecca Harvin; five brothers, Robert Harvin, Henry Harvin Jr., Joseph Harvin, Charles Dinkins and James Huggins; grandparents, Authur and Lillie Huggins; an uncle and aunt, Paul and Ethel Lee Singleton; and a special cousin, Ella Mae Maple.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Grinnell will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150 with Pastor Bill Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Cain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home, 2935 Remington Road, Sumter, SC 29154.
