LUCIOUS PRESCOTT SR.

Funeral service for Lucious Prescott Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. today at Elizabeth Baptist Church. Burial will be at Florence National Cemetery, directed by Peoples Funeral Service of Florence.

He died on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019.

He was born in Bishopville, a son of the late Heyward and Edith Lighty Prescott. He attended Lee County Public Schools and was a 1965 graduate of Dennis High School. He served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. He was employed at DuPont for more than 42 years until retirement. He was a faithful member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and a member of the trustee board. He was past worshipful master of Sandy Bluff Masonic Lodge No. 44.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Emma L. Prescott; his children, Deidre Mack, Lucious (Charity) Prescott Jr., Tarsha (Melvin) Jackson, Terrell (Dorcas) Prescott and Darius (Brandi) Prescott; stepchildren, Tarsha (the Rev. Kippie) Brown and Candace Spears; a sister, Patricia (Colon) Corbett; a brother, Willie James Prescott; and 19 grandchildren.

The family is receiving friends at 2250 Bellaire Drive, Florence.
