MAGGIE JOE GREEN

CAMDEN — Graveside service for Maggie Joe Green, 66, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Jamestown Road Church of God Cemetery. The Rev. Curtis Murph will officiate. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

Ms. Green passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. 

Born in Bishopville, she was a daughter of Eloise Williams Joe and the late Willie Joe. She retired from DuPont, where she worked in BCF Spinning for 38 years. She was a faithful member of Jamestown Road Church of God, where she served as treasurer of the pastor’s aide committee, choir member and youth leader assistant. She served as assistant to the South Carolina State Presbytery Dietitian Committee and was a member of the Christian Women Connection. She was a competitive bowler for the DuPont bowling league.

Surviving are her son, Mandrell Green (Celeste) of Camden; siblings, Louise Stuckey, Willa Boyd, Blonde Richardson, Alfred Joe, Patricia Kirkland, Alfreda Micken, Debbie Quick, Tyrone  Joe and Tess Fullard; and two grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by a brother, Earl Joe.
