Man wanted for alleged theft from Sumter apartment complex laundry room

Sumter Police Department officers are looking for a man suspected of stealing money from an apartment complex laundry room on Dec. 18, 2018.

James Baucom, 47, is accused of breaking into the laundry room at Wall Street Green Apartments on Wolfpack Court and prying open the change boxes of the coin-operated machines, taking an undetermined amount of money, according to a news release.

Baucom, last known address of Rocky Point, North Carolina, is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 185 pounds and has hazel eyes and brown hair.

He is known to acquaintance with Brian Fitzgerald, who is wanted by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office for similar crimes, states the release.

Fitzgerald may be driving a silver 2001 Honda Civic with S.C. license tag 6151MK.
