MANNING – A 49-year-old Manning man died Friday afternoon after a one-vehicle wreck on S.C. 260, two miles south of Manning.

John Brailsford died at McLeod Health Clarendon shortly after the 5:20 p.m. wreck said Clarendon County Deputy Coroner Albert Mobley.

Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said that Brailsford was traveling south on S.C. 260 when the 2006 GMC Sierra he was driving ran off the roadway to the right and struck a tree.

Tidwell said that Brailsford was the only occupant of the truck and he was not wearing a seatbelt.
