MARGARETTA PEARSON GATSON

FLORENCE - On Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, Margaretta Pearson Gatson "Barr" heard her master's call at the Regency Hospital in Florence.

Born on Sunday, Jan. 9, 1955, in the Davis Station community of Summerton, she was a daughter of the late Willie Abel "Abie" and Elizabeth Johnson "Bee" Pearson.

Services celebrating her life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Matrix Center, 4648 Kingstree Highway, Manning, where the Rev. Gary Miller, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, Bowman, will preside. The Rev. Carnell Witherspoon, pastor of Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Manning, will bring words of consolation. The service of committal will follow at the Pearson family plot located at St. Matthews Cemetery, S.C. 261, Kingstree Highway, Manning.

Due to COVID-19, attendance is limited to prevent the spread of the virus. Masks are required for those attending the service.

Services will be live streamed on the Facebook page of Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home and Chapel.

In accordance with the requirements given by the CDC in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is not receiving relatives and friends at the residence.
