MARGIE LEE HAYES NELSON

Margie Lee Hayes Nelson, daughter of the late Henry George Hayes and Earlease Bradley Hayes, was born on Nov. 22, 1940, in Mayesville, South Carolina. “Mar-Lee,” as she was affectionately called, was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. She departed this earthly life on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Her loving memories will be cherished by her devoted children, family and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 4490 Excursion Drive, Dalzell.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 136 S. Main St., Mayesville, with the Rev. Carnell Hampton, moderator, officiating.

Burial will follow in Mayesville Community Cemetery, Mayesville.
