MARION ELIZABETH THOMPSON GETER

Marion Elizabeth Thompson Geter, 77, was born on April 2, 1945, in Summerton, a daughter of William Marion Thompson and Mary Louise Johnson Thompson. She departed this life on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, in Monroe, North Carolina.

Public viewing will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Mt. Pisgah AME Church, 217 W. Bartlette St., Sumter, SC 29150 with the Rev. E. Robert Thomas officiating and the Rev. Dr. Sandy Drayton, presiding elder of the Georgetown District, eulogist. Interment will follow at Walker Cemetery.
