MARK EDWARD JORDAN

Mark Edward Jordan, 53, of Sumter, passed away on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021.

Born on March 7, 1968, he was a son of Helen Thames Jordan and the late Jack Chambers Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and cycle. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his two children.

In addition to his mother, those surviving are one son, Evan Chambers Jordan of Sumter; one daughter, Emily Renee Jordan of Sumter; one sister, Susan Jordan Harvey of Indian Trail, North Carolina; and one nephew, Jeremy Randall Harvey of Indian Trail.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Williams and the Rev. Steve Shumake officiating. Burial will be at Sumter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother, 744 Henderson St.
