Marquies Jerome "Chip" Tomlin, 31, was born on July 17, 1989, in Sumter, a son of Ronnie Randolph and Henry Tomlin. He departed this life on Friday, April 9, 2021.
He received his formal education in the public schools of Sumter County
Left with precious memories are his parents; four sons, Marquies Tomlin, Jer'Keem Harris, Jer'Carius Harris and Karson Tomlin, all of Sumter; two daughters, Alasia Tomlin and Jer'Leah Harris, both of Sumter; two sisters, Diamond (Spencer) Braxton of Columbia and Shelika Randolph of Sumter; four brothers, Aqueme Randolph, Rashawn Tomlin, Henry Tomlin III and Jaceon Oliver, all of Sumter; grandparents, Henry (Corine) Tomlin and Carol (David) Wade; uncles, Marion (Stephanie) Randolph and Antwon Tomlin; aunts, Bessie Williams, Connie Ruth and Lakeish McKnight; and a special friend, Shanequa Mack.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Lillie Mae Randolph; step-grandfather, Williard Pack; and aunt, Della Tomlin.
Public viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Sumter Funeral Service.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bradford Cemetery.
Facial masks are required during visitations and services.
Sumter Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
