MARY B. OSBORNE

Mary Boatwright Osborne, 63, wife of Nathaniel Osborne, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at Palmetto Health Richland.

She was born in Clarendon County, a daughter of the late Edmond Sr. and Mary Anna Green Boatwright. Mrs. Osborne attended the Clarendon and Sumter county schools. At an early age, she moved to New York. In the 1980s, she moved to Sumter County, where she raised her children.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband of Gable; children, Brian (Tabitha) Carolina of Greenville, Rodney (Roselyn) Boatwright of Columbia, Maheshia (Chris) Edwards of Gastonia, N.C., and Lakeyshuh Carolina of Gable; godson, Phillipe' Eady of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren, Corey, Raheem, Dewayne, Kadeem, Tania, Davair, Shaquann, Ryan, Shanita, Charmaine, Ivey, Evie, Bryson and Kya; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Manning. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Job's Mortuary handled arrangements.

JUDY McELVEEN

Donna Judith "Judy" McElveen, age 67, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at her home.

Born in 1943 in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late William Earl and Lorelle Player McElveen. She grew up in Sumter County and graduated from Edmunds High School in 1961. Soon after graduation, she was employed by Evergreen Memorial Park, where she went on to serve as the general manager for more than 48 years. Surviving are her siblings, Clarice McElveen Staley and Wayne M. McElveen of Sumter and Cynthia McElveen Hamilton of Smithfield, N.C.; her loving companion of nearly 50 years, Harry V. Connolly of Columbia; and her nieces and nephews, whom she adored as her own children, Ronnie G. (Gail) Hyatt, Sherry H. Gardner, Tami H. (Richard) Ramsey, Kim Hyatt, Mike W. Staley, Donna H. (Randy) May, Michelle Hamilton, Kevin W. (Jenny) McElveen and Bryan R. McElveen. Judy was also the proud aunt of 12 grandnieces and nephews, Michael, Heather, Heath, Alisha, Caitlyn, Courtney, Taylor, Callie, Wyatt, Jaime, Emily and Elizabeth; as well as four great-grandnieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services followed at Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family chose Bullock Funeral Home for local arrangements.
