MARY HARVIN

A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Funeral services for Mary Harvin will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Aurelia Hill, pastor, and the Rev. Kenneth Choice officiating. Interment services will follow at Aycock Cemetery.

Mary was born on Aug. 13, 1975, in Sumter, to the late Henry and Emma Holiday Harvin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jacqueline Harvin, Rebecca Harvin and Betty Sinkler; five brothers, James Huggins, Henry Harvin Jr., Robert Harvin, Joseph Harvin and Charles Dinkins; and grandparents, Richard and Rebecca Harvin, Carrie Dinkins and Simon Sigler.

She departed this earthly life on Monday, July 6, 2020, in Shelby, North Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a special friend, Troy Carrier; two sisters, Rachel Harvin and Jocarol (Robert) Jamison; five brothers, Jacob Harvin, Floyd (Emma) Harvin, Tyrone (Paula) Harvin, Stanley (Alica) Harvin and Roosevelt (Ruby) Harvin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
