ARP, Texas - Services for Mary Louise Arber, 90, of Arp, will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brian Williams officiating. Burial will be at Mason Cemetery.

Mrs. Arber went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2019, in Tyler, Texas.

She was born on June 19, 1928, in Greenville, North Carolina, to the late Milton and Eva Lovick. She married the love of her life, Donald "Don" Arber on March 24, 1961, in Sumter. She had been in the East Texas area since 1991. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She was a wonderful caregiver and was the best mother in all the world. She was a very active member of the Assembly of God Church in Arp and was part of the Willing Workers. She helped in funerals, Vacation Bible School and enjoyed taking her son to sports activities.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Arber was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dr. Paul A. Coward Sr.; brother, Macdonald Lovick; and sister, Virginia Lovick Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Donald "Don" Arber of Arp; son, Jimmy Arber of Jacksonville; daughter, Mary Coward of Hartsville; grandchildren, Paul Coward, Daniel Coward, Thomas Coward, Philip Coward, Jacob Coward, Christopher Arber and Aaron Arber; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Arber, Christopher Arber, Aaron Arber, Danny Coward, Tommy Coward and Mike McDuff.

Honorary pallbearers are the Rev. Paul Coward Jr., Phillip Coward and Jacob Coward.
