MARY LOUISE BRUNSON DELK

Mary Louise Brunson Delk, 103, widow of Judson Haigler Delk, died on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at National Healthcare Center.

Born in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Florence Jones Brunson. Mrs. Delk was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a retired sales clerk with the Capitol Department Store. She was also a former member of the Lamplighter Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Hazel Delk Walker (Johnny) of Sumter; a granddaughter, Jenny Walker Buck (Alan); a grandson, John J. Walker Jr. (Courtney); and three great-grandchildren, Sienna Buck, Gussie Walker and Isaac Walker, all of Columbia.

She was preceded in death by nine siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 335 Winn St.
