McLeod Health Clarendon opens primary care center in Turbeville

TURBEVILLE - McLeod Health Clarendon has expanded into the Turbeville area with the opening of McLeod Primary Care Turbeville at 1126 Clarence Coker Highway.

"We are pleased to provide convenient access to primary care by locating in the Turbeville community," said Rachel Gainey, McLeod Health Clarendon administrator. "In a time when access to health care is crucial, having local providers for primary care is essential in meeting one's health care needs."

"This is going to be a huge asset for the Town of Turbeville," Turbeville Mayor Kathryn Turbeville added. "We will have two local PAs working in this Primary Care facility."Abbie Kirby, PA-C, and Amanda McConnell, PA-C, will be providing medical services at McLeod Health Clarendon's newest facility. While Kirby will be helping folks in the Turbeville area, she will also be assisting folks at Palmetto Adult Medicine in Sumter. McLeod Primary Care Turbeville will offer the community general health care services for adults as well as children. The practice will specialize in wellness visits, physicals, immunizations, minor injuries and illnesses and chronic conditions, including diabetes, asthma, high cholesterol and heart disease.

McLeod Primary Care Turbeville is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. New patients and same or next-day appointments are available.
