MANNING - McLeod Health Clarendon welcomes a new surgeon to its staff.

On Thursday, Dr. Danielle Saldana joined McLeod Physicians Associates and Dr. Devonne Barrineau as part of McLeod Surgery Clarendon.

"The continued expansion of McLeod Health in the Sumter area will have a great impact on the health of our region," said Rachel Gainey, McLeod Health Clarendon administrator. "The increased access to specialty services will bring experienced physicians to those in our region, making it much easier to receive care. As a testament of our commitment, we are continually developing plans to meet the spectrum of needs in the communities we serve."

In her role as general surgeon, Saldana will provide care for a broad range of surgical conditions that relate to the head and neck, breast, skin, soft tissues, abdominal wall and extremities as well as the gastrointestinal, vascular and endocrine systems. Using the latest techniques, Saldana will perform the most up-to-date procedures in invasive and non-invasive surgeries. While performing surgical procedures at McLeod Health Clarendon, Saldana will also provide care to patients at McLeod Clarendon's Sumter location, 540 Physicians Lane.

Saldana is a native of California who was raised in the Midwest and completed her general surgical residency training at Grandview Medical Center in Ohio. Saldana and her husband, J.C., reside in Sumter and are expecting their second child.
