MANNING - A free COVID-19 mobile testing clinic will be held from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. June 10 at Manning Junior High School, 1101 W.L. Hamilton Road.

McLeod Health, Prisma Health and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control have partnered to host the clinic. Prescreening will not be required, and the specimen collection is free. Patients will be notified within 72 hours with their test results.

"We are pleased to be able to offer increased access to COVID-19 testing to those in our community," said Rachel Gainey, administrator at McLeod Health Clarendon, when announcing the free clinic. "Testing asymptomatic individuals without known exposure, our hope is to better understand the extent of COVID-19 in our area and to help stop the spread in our communities."

Dr. Scott Sasser, who is the incident commander over Prisma Health's COVID-19 response, agreed with Gainey.

"Testing is a priority for Prisma Health, especially providing access to communities that need it the most," Sasser said. "We are pleased to partner with McLeod Health and DHEC to provide testing to individuals in communities."

Partners include Clarendon School District 2, Clarendon County Administration, Emergency Management and the Clarendon County Sheriff's Department, Manning Mayor Julia A. Nelson, the South Carolina Department of Transportation, the South Carolina National Guard, the South Carolina Army National Guard and the South Carolina Air National Guard.

"Dedicated to serving the needs of patients from the Midlands to coast, we value our community partners as we work together to meet the needs of this community," Gainey added. "Our organizations share the same goal of the highest level of excellence in health care to those in our region.
