McLeod is experienced board member, accessible to voters

Posted

Matthew "Mac" McLeod is a life-long friend who is an experienced school board member, having served from 2006 until the consolidation of Districts 2 and 17 in July of 2011. He is also currently a classroom teacher, so he understands what teachers and students are experiencing on a daily basis. Mac has always been supportive of the schools and is very accessible to his constituents and seeks their input before voting on their behalf.

Mac McLeod's platform recognizes three major concerns in his area:

1. Accountability: Every person in the system must do their job, beginning with the board and the superintendent and extending through the administrators and teachers to the students and their parents.

2. Learn to earn: For our children to have the financial future they need, as well as for our Sumter community to grow economically, we must instill in our students the value of work and the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today's world-wide community.

3. Fiscal responsibility: Taxpayers deserve to know that their tax dollars are being spent wisely. Programs that do not work will be recommended for termination, and programs that do work will be recommended for expansion.

I urge you to vote for Mac McLeod for School Board Area 3 on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.
